Free Event Splash Canyon Vacation Bible School

When: June 11-14, 2018; 6:00PM - 9:00PM every evening

Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 906 East Grant Street, Macomb IL

Who: Children age 3 through 6th graders

Splash Canyon Vacation Bible School will explore the grace and truth of God. Life is a wild ride. We don't know what's around each corner, but Jesus does. Join us for four nights of Bible Lessons, fun, music, and crafts. Children age 3 to 6th grade are welcome. This is free and open to all.

A NIGHT OUT FOR THE ADULTS TO SUPPORT THE KIDS!

IT'S TRIVIA TIME!!! Saturday February 24th 2018 will be the 6th Annual BBBS Trivia Night, and we have a spectacular program planned! Great location, all new material, incredible WIU student-emcee, cash bar, video questions from the kids in the program, AND King Graffiti Band's first show of 2018! PEACE: Prose & Poetry 2018 Interfaith Alliance of Macomb (IAM) Youth Writing Contest

PEACE: Prose & Poetry

Write a short essay or poem on the subject, “What peace means to me.”

Judging will be based on:  

•  Creativity
•  Originality (your own work)
•  Personal  Experience

Entries must be accompanied by the cover sheet (download below) with parent signature & contact.  One entry will be accepted per student.  Entries will not be returned.

All will be recognized who participate; one top prize will be given to a writer in each 2-grade category:

Timeline:

• January 12:  Martin Luther King Day Weekend: start writing.
• February 15: Turn in your entry to your teacher on or before this date. 
• March 3: Top winners will be announced at the opening ceremony of the W.I.U. International Bazaar.
