PEACE: Prose & Poetry

Write a short essay or poem on the subject, “What peace means to me.”

Judging will be based on:  

•  Creativity
•  Originality (your own work)
•  Personal  Experience

Entries must be accompanied by the cover sheet (download below) with parent signature & contact.  One entry will be accepted per student.  Entries will not be returned.

All will be recognized who participate; one top prize will be given to a writer in each 2-grade category:

Timeline:

• January 12:  Martin Luther King Day Weekend: start writing.
• February 15: Turn in your entry to your teacher on or before this date. 
• March 3: Top winners will be announced at the opening ceremony of the W.I.U. International Bazaar.
